Crouch has been s**** two on the spin now. we need to get competition for him in the summer. No one else can do for us what he does. When he plays like he did against everton he is superb but he's got loads of these performances in his locker too. We need an alternative.

I thought Crouch was ok in spurts today - didn't really get the ball down on the deck and use it enough but he manages to hold the ball in forward positions for us which is invaluable.

Crouch wasn't bad today against a very well-drilled defence (and no amount of shoving, shirt-pulling and barging seems to count against Crouch as far as refs are concerned - anyone would think he was Duncan Ferguson the way officials react whenever he's fouled). Cisse, on the other hand, was so disappointing after last week - it looked after about 30 minutes he'd be subbed soon after half time unless he improved yet he just seemed to daydream. So frustrating.

Saying he's been chit two games on the spin seems slightly OTT. But them, we've been playing pretty well recently, so I can understand the need to look for chitness :D

i'm not looking for chitness. Crouch has to play every game and there's not an earthly he can play well every game, he's only human. we need someone who can stand in and then we'll get that freshness.

Two in in the summer

 

One as an alternative to Crouch and another who's quick and can finish. The lack of pace we have upfront is so frustrating. Bolton were knackered in the second half and ripe for a countering but we had nothing

Thought Robbie was great today. He is the only all round forward that we have. 6 yard box, 18 yard box, in the air, and even on the wing.

 

He did a more than sound job.

 

As for Crouch. Not his best game but he got an assist.

 

Cisse needs to learn how to dribble but without t***ting it 12 yards in front of him. Problem is it'll make him a slower player and I don't know if he has it in his head to be more intelligent in his play than the current one than plays on his natural attributes and instinct.

Folwer - Didn't do alot except what he does best - Stick the ball in the back of the net!! If he is on reduced terms we've got to make every effort to keep him -ok he isn't as fit as most but you would pay a fortune usually for his finishing ability!!

Sorry but the first header he was clear with no-one on him and definately not streching, regardless of if anyone else would have got in that position, he was in a great position and he fluffed it - he put it straight at the keeper when 6" either side would have been a clear goal. His 2nd headed effort wasn't much better!

 

I'm not in any way saying Crouch isn't a good player for us as he's been great this season but if it was Shearer who'd had those 2 headed chances it would have been at least 1 goal if not 2!!!

Possible to do when the effect of your leaping to meet the ball is to jump a couple of inches and tuck your legs under you ;)

 

Harsh but that second half effort could have and should have gone in the net or challenged their keeper more.

 

My theory is that Crouchy, god love him, has very weak neck muscles as a result of his build.

 

Still, we won, so f*** it!
