I mean thats the first goal we have conceded in this tournament since Sept, and ok it was s*** but we are well in with a chance of going through...Christ we were in a worse position v olympiakos at HT never mind Milan

 

There is not rational thinking on here, you have to take defeat on the chin sometimes...it doesnt make us a bad team...we know we are lacking in certain areas and we cant do anything until the summer....

It's an identical situation with the one against Olympiacos last season.

 

I think Fowler needs to play alongside Crouch who will more of the support work so Robbie can be closer to/in the box. He hasn't had too many opportunities to even take a clean shot at goal since he came back. But he's looking good, and the intelligent footballer is very much still there.

My only worry is that they look good from set pieces (robert can hit a great corner - get him in to coach alonso and gerrard on that part of their game) and if we concede we'll need 3.

According to the guys on ITV4 last night, one of the best parts to ourgame is the fact that Gerrard and Alonso deliver quality balls into the box from set pieces, especially Gerrard who drills them in. It is interesting how other people see our team isn't it.

I thought Riise and Finnan, had an exeptional game last night

 

and to be honest thought the goal was a bit weak, but i just can not shake the feeling that they will get a real dickin at anfield
