I reckon the final 6 will be: 1) Chavs2) LFC3) Glams4) Spurts5) Bolton6) Gooners (adios Henry and Wenger)
Dan Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 Think the Mancs will get 2nd. Their toughest game will be Spurs away as Chelsea will have the title sewn up by end of April.
R A Softlad Posted February 13, 2006 Author Posted February 13, 2006 Spurs look like they have the hardest run in. True, although they have nothing else to play for but a European spot.
Bootle Buck Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 A must win next three home games looking at Utd fixtures if we hope to stay close to them.
realtarragona Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 'chavs' But yeah it's a great run in for us. Although I think we'll finish 3rd.
Earl Hafler Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 I think we can finish 2nd but how long we stay in the CL will affect our position. If we beat them at the weekend, they'll only have the league to concentrate on from March onwards. 6 wins and 2 draws in the final 8 games would do nicely ! Away games at Arsenal, West Ham and Blackburn could be tricky.
Guest ziggystardust Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 great run in for us but uniteds is also quite good, spurs away not for a while and chelsea 2nd to last. 3rd place for us i think.
Gray - YPC Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 March is gonna be quite a crucial month in deciding where we end up!! If we can get within 5/6 points with 5 games to go I'll fancy us!!
Tosh Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 March is gonna be quite a crucial month in deciding where we end up!! If we can get within 5/6 points with 5 games to go I'll fancy us!! As opposed to this month being crucial...? SHOULD we win this weekend, and IF we get past Benfica.... Isn't there a cliche somewhere about "these being the sort of games big players want to be involved in"? Or have I been afflicted by AndyGrayitis?
libero Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 With Man Ure playing in the Carling Cup Final we will end up with them with the games in hand and hopefully we will be ahead of them by that time then we will see what they are made off??
R A Softlad Posted February 13, 2006 Author Posted February 13, 2006 Good point. Lets hope we don't go to a replay this weekend.
libero Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 Good point. Lets hope we don't go to a replay this weekend. My expression may look blank but the brain is always working.
stressederic Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 Chelsea will do United. It's their last home game of the season, they'll be wanting to sign off in style.

Can't see how we can be ahead of them by then, unless we absolutely batter Arsenal and Man City
growler Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 the russians will prefer scum to finish 2nd to us, as boringho knows we are a bigger challenge next season, so that will play a part in their game. Isn't nice to know that we are talking about finishing 2 or 3, rather than will we qualify for CL at all? I hope that Arsenal miss out on CL. Will bring them down to earth. Its one thing to win things with young players a la funguson, but another to win things with a team of youngsters with no english players. When Cole leaves, they will not have ANY english players in their first choice 16!!! What was walcott thinking???
Mike Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 who says we are a bigger challenge next season?will utd not aim to improve in the summer too?
Gravy Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 Just to be pedantic, Arsenal are out of the FA Cup.
