Why? When hyped up he can occasionally be effective- with him out they will have to rely on O'Shea and Fletcher in midfield- they'd be f*cked.

Had he played for any other English club he would be dismissed as a show pony, yet because he plays for ManUre he's hailed as world class even though time and again he proves what a terrible team plyer he is and has no end product whatsoever.

How Rooney stays on the pitch is beyond me. However, his early yellow card took him out of the game for most of the 2nd half.
