Last season we had twice as many early KOs as United, Chelsea and Arsenal. -

Done it once, early '80s when Craig Johnston scored and Whiteside equalised in the last minute. It's hard work painting a smile on your face when you feel like crying. Then me mate forgot where he was and started swearing in his best scouse accent, we got a right kicking on the way out. Win or lose it's a long 90 minutes.

I saw him and his missus in a shop in Sydney a few months ago. I blurted out, 'f*** me it's skippy!' and they both started laughing. We talked for about 10 minutes, he still loves the club and the city, he talked about how much Hillsborough had affected him. They were both sound, dead chatty. He's a top bloke. Bad haircut though.
