Pre Season Friendlies

I can see on the offal that there are a number of games against City and Milan scheduled for 23:00 in late July/August - I assume they are part of a US tour, whats the arrangement for a home game before the season starts?

I'm looking to get a pair of tickets for me and my young lad for this home pre-season friendly game assuming there will be one before the season starts. Can anyone advise who the opposition is, ticket prices etc and lastly and most importantly will it be hard to get tickets for this game?

Sorry mods, I had a look for this but couldn't find a similar thread. the offal has nowt beyond those games v city/milan/roma/olympiacos... and advice/help is appreciated!

Games scheduled are at the bottom of the page on this link -

From The Telegraph

Liverpool, meanwhile, are planning a lucrative pre-season friendly against Borussia Dortmund next August. The Anfield fixture is pencilled in for August 10, a curtain-raiser to the next Premier League season.

At home or away? Would be a good away but then, you don't want to be beating them 3 or 4 times in a season (friendly, 2 x CL groups, final)

One pre-season which would be great fun to go to is St Pauli v Celtic in late July.

the clue was in the quote,

Tried to by some tickets for the Dortmund game earlier. The ticket office is still a shambles. I tried ringing about 3 or 4 times to be told the lines were busy. Use the website. Which would be fine (though why you can't hold is stupid), but the website yesterday advertised the tickets onsale for members, without telling you how, or how much it is to become a member. The page that says how much membership is is a 404. The phone message says today's member sale is only for the disabled, the website now says the members sale starts tomorrow.

I mean... how hard can it be?

It's not like you're trying to give them money or anything.

I'm not a member either but bought 4 Dortmund tickets about 10 days ago using the website without any hassle at all.

I did have to register though. This makes you a customer but not a member.

Bugger. Not possible anymore. Says specifically it's a members sale only until Friday. Also says something about you have to wait 24 hours after becoming a member to buy tickets, but there's no facility to become a member online, it's bonkers.

Did you try the 'Join Now' link on the Membership home page?

And yesterday that was a 404.

And now you can buy tickets again without being a member, even though the tickets page said earlier and yesterday that it was members only until Friday.

Now all the decent Kop tickets are gone so I'll watch it on the telly. Stuff em. Yesterday there were still tickets in 104-6.
