The first was a screamer too, Martinez the number 7 picked it up just inside the half near the touchline, went on a run cutting inside, beating two players and knocked low into the corner from 25 yards. I thought Martinez and the little #11 Rojas were their best players. Rojas is a Wigan player, must be on loan in Honduras til he qualifies for a permit.

 

Hungary were pretty poor, they struggled to keep the ball, their back 4 were slow and static and their midfield were similarly slow and couldn't keep the ball. I thought Gulacsi did alright apart from once in the first half when he came for the ball, hesitated and got caught in no-mans land, you could point the finger for the third, but it swerved all over the place. Nemeth never got into the game, I think that's as much to do with the lack of supply as anything though.

After losing their first game (3-0 was it?), Hungary also now lead the table and should be into the next round. Looks like they won their other games 4-0 and 2-0.

Hungary won their group. into the last 16. They will play the Czech Republic who finished 2nd to Brazil in their group. This will be a very tough game.
