Possibly so, but there's a slight problem with the Magic 8 Ball.

 

After so many years, the passage of time (and a collection of bubbles) have worked to obscure the predictions of the 8 Ball to the point where they are now, sadly, often illegible.

 

However I have chosen not to look upon this with sadness but rather to take another view. Clearly in time past the fortunes of our team were subject to the machinations of the gods and the fickle hand of fate. It was for this reason that the Magic 8 Ball could cut through the clouds of uncertainty that surrounded our prospects.

 

Now that time is over. The future of our team is now so clear that it cannot be stopped by such trivial matters as fate or circumstance. There is nothing left to stand in our way.

 

It is for this reason that the Magic 8 Ball has faded. Because it has fulfilled it's purpose and now the future is clear for all to see.

 

So whilst I shall retain the Magic 8 Ball, and thank it for bringing us clarity and hope during our darkest moments, for shining a light that kept us believing, I can clearly interpret its last message to us. I do not need to shake it, or ask it a question. The answer is now clear. This prophecy is the 8 Ball's last gift to us.
