I checked it a few days ago and it still had the subscribe to Setanta message. Maybe the club have decided to put it on for free like the Madrid channel.

 

Hope the pre season games are on.

It damn well OUGHT to be free, considering the rubbish on it. Endless random repeats of old matches and interviews, and...that's about it. They can't even be arsed to do a short news report during the summer. Zero imagination.

I notice that ESPN America (Sky channel 417) is currently free too - was always a subscription channel that.

 

Probably just a temporary measure to try and lure people in and then they'll start charging again.

 

I just can't get into this baseball lark that they seem to be showing all day :wacko:

I'm sure it's more to do with budget than imagination.

 

I don't doubt the budget is a problem, but the key thing for any channel on a low budget is to think really hard about how to compensate in other ways. It may as well be off air at the moment.

Available free for a limited period on Sky Channel 434 and Virgin Media channel 544 if you have the XL package on Virgin Media.

 

Doesn't say how long it will be free for, but does say the free period will cover all of our pre-season friendlies, although it's only delayed coverage of them.

84 EC final on at the minute. A few observations: Lawrenson was truly world class. Italians at that time were dirty cynical scumbags. Keegan doing the analysis was still a massive Red.

did anyone watch the top 10 signings of the 80's last night? Was watching it then fell asleep got up to Steve McMahon at number 4 who was ahead of Molby, Lawrenson, Beardsley, Aldridge, Grobbelaar and whoever was at number 10 missed that bit too!!

 

Does anyone know who the top 3 were I'm presuming Barnes, Rush and Nicol?

Keep seeing bits and pieces of Rafa's best 100 games. Don't want to be horrible, but the commentator on LFC is really terrible.

 

Listening to him and Roy Evans ramble on about nothing is upsetting

Your obviously referring to how he was going on and on about Friedels sending off last night. To be fair to the fella there was nothing else going on in the game, we were effectively playing two touch for the majority of the 2nd half.

 

I don't mind him to be honest. Hard to get excited about games when your not actually there watching them, hopefully next year they send him out to commentate on a few senior games, at the moment as far as I know they just send him out to the reserve games. I met steve hunter and David Fairclough at the Hull v Reserves game last year and both were top blokes.

But i just don't think he's very good. Any time Torres or Stevie scores peach he says "you have to say, the boy's a genius"

Slightly off-topic, but the commentary on the MUTV games is ridiculous. Now all I've heard are the little snippits on SSN when its on about the pre-season games but it really is pathetic. Sounds like American commentary and re Macheda "the boy wonder, does it again, what CAN'T this man do?" Well seemingly he can score against a s**** Asian side and you CAN'T put it in perspective you horrible whopper.

They were probably itching for Rafa to reach 100 games so they could this.

 

God forbid be leaves soon and they have to wait for the new manager to build up 100 games - he might not even get their if the yanks feel like sacking him and getting in Klinsmann
