Its over 15 years since I read his autobiography, but I've always remembered it as making the 'Stevie Me' moniker look self effacing.

Anyone read this since ? Am I remembering it unfairly or does he spend the whole book bigging himself up massively ?

Only problem is the S*n actually had evidence to back up their claims this time.

Insufficient evidence however. He's a free man and i'd rather trust some one who wore the liverpool shirt than trust a s*** rag which is known for publishing lies and blowing stories all out of proportion in order to make a sale.

That's irrelevant.

The £1 damages, plus the fact that he had to pay the S*ns costs,is damning in my eyes.

From the Beeb:

In 1999 a jury at the High Court returned a unanimous verdict in Mr Grobbelaar's favour.

But the Appeal Court has overturned the jury's verdict on grounds of perversity.

Giving his reserved judgement, Lord Justice Simon Brown said the jury's verdict at a High Court hearing in August 1999 "represents a miscarriage of justice which this court can and must correct".

'Utterly implausible'

He continued: "In my judgement Mr Grobbelaar's case is so utterly implausible that no jury acting reasonably could have accepted it as true.

"It follows, for reasons explained earlier, that the jury's verdict cannot stand and should be set aside."

Eh?

Him being affected by what happened at Hillsborough and wanting to do his part to remember the 96 has nothing to do with something that allegedly happened a few years later.
