Christ thats dire, has to be the worst forward line England have had in years, atrocious goalkeepers aswell though I like Green but he seems destined to never be given a chance.

'Tis indeed brilliant. But from the vast choice of English Liverpool players that Capello could have picked from... one is injured & the other has retired.

 

It's an awful squad though, really poor. England will never again win the World Cup. With a decent manager they could have won the 06 World Cup with the right mix of experience, world class players at their peak and promising youth. Now the dearth of English players (at the top level and in academies) is showing; within 5 years the vast majority of the England squad will be made up from little-used Premiership squad players & Championship teams.

 

They still excell in central defence and central midfield (and they're ageing!) but beyond that... nothing.

Dossena is in the Italian squad for the Brazil friendly. Amazing to see Italy have more Liverpool players in their squad than England.
