Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has been charged with improper conduct by the Football Association after a dispute with referee Mike Dean.

The charge relates to Ferguson's behaviour towards Dean following United's 4-3 victory over of Hull at Old Trafford on Saturday.

Ferguson marched on to the field immediately after the match to remonstrate with the official.

The Scot has been given until 19 November to respond.

why is it he gets a fortnight to respond to this?

they're playing Arsenal on Saturday lunchtime he's just down the road from the FA - get the cn*t in there on saturday arvo

then let him off with a warning as to his future conduct, obviously

what was he f***ing whinging about anyway?

I've not seen the game but at a guess it will be one of these 5

a) too much time added on at the end

b) not enough time added on at the end

c) too many Utd players booked/sent off

d) not enough opposition players booked/sent off

e) late delivery from Whyte & Mackay

dont they know Alex only has to answer to himself, his team, the board and Utd fans.

you'd have to be a gargantuan c**k to think that

Hopefully this warning about his future conduct will have the desired affect, that the previous similar warnings haven't quite managed

Committee - "Sir Alex, did you tell Mike Dean, the appointed referee, to f*** off?"

Sir Alex - "I did"

Committee - "Thank you for you honesty and making time to pop in and see us. Now, what should the punishment be?"

Sir Alex - " A few weeks on the division 1 referee's roster should sort him out"

Committee - "Indeed, if you are happy with that. Have a good journey and be careful at Euston Station"

2 match ban and a 10 grand fine.

interesting, but about time

Peanuts in fact, he is banned for 2 games but not immediately. He would have served his ban away to both Villa and Man City, two very tough games.

However his ban doesn't come into effect until after the Man City game, convenient eh? So the games he will actually miss are home to Blackburn in the Carling cup and Home to Sunderland where Roy Keane will do him a favour.

Hardly a ban is it?

its a pity some ex-liverpool players dont go into management and help liverpool out instead of all becoming pundits and commentators whom you end up hating.

Can't agree about the Keane bit but that is f***ing rubbish. Timing the ban to coincide with a Carling Cup game !!!!!!!! Sunderland at home is not going to be tricky, not because of Keane but because Sunderland are s***. If anything it will be more tricky BECAUSE of Keane.
