Couldn't give a monkey's....

More to supporting Liverpool than hoping we sign BIG NAMEZ

thats clearly not the issue, its about making showpiece signings, just signings that will make a genuine difference to the team.

Whatever the story behind these rich Arabs at Eastlands, how does it make you feel when other clubs are battling for the best players and we're not? Is it a lack of ambition or funds?

its both isn't bromage. it embarassess me to be honest. parry paraded us round the world for years before billy boswell sold us out to the biggest pair of w*****s he could find.

Really really ****ed off.

Its not about the "sign big names" but at least we can compete and Rafa can build a team he wants rather than one limited by the American *****ers

Ain't too bothered.

As Chelsea found out, anybody can throw large amounts of cash at players, and putting in silly bids, it's a different kettle of fish actually getting the player to join.

For all Chelsea's money, they haven't really got a big named player.

QPR are the most cash rich club on paper, but they'll never in a million years get Kaka.

Exactly, Mike. It's not about spending big money on big names. It's about the fact that the club is now in the hands of a pair of jokers who don't appreciate the need to support the manager in bringing it players of the appropriate quality; the one time they did, he brought in Torres. I've never regarded Rafa as a manager who wants to buy the big names, as he proved at Valencia, but given the backing he can build a quality team to compete on a lower budget.

Chelsea did manage to sign Shevchenko, Drogba, Essien and Ballack amongst others, players they would not have got before Ambromovic.

They have also won two titles.

The cash has certainly transformed them as a club.
