Cunny
http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/drilldown/N...080410-1628.htm Javier Mascherano will sit out this weekend's clash with Blackburn after failing in a bid to have his suspension overturned. On 3 April, a Regulatory Commission fined Mascherano £15,000 and gave him an additional two match suspension for improper conduct in relation to his behaviour after being sent off during Liverpool's match against Manchester United on Sunday 23 March. Mascherano appealed on the grounds that the punishment was excessive but this was dismissed by the Appeals Panel. Mascherano will now serve the remaining one match of his suspension with immediate effect, ruling him out of Sunday's game against Blackburn. Guest JV
Meanwhile Pisshead and Queeroz still remain above the law. They may get banned once they wrap up the league.
Andy @ Allerton
Good that re-inforces my wanting the English FA's cockney side to get s**** decisions for the rest of their involvement in any tournaments. Everytime England lose - I'll be having a pint and laughing at the Scum FA. Edited April 10, 2008 by Andy @ Allerton

Sir Tokyo Sexwale
The FA are inept, corrupt c****. Masch's lawyer should come out & say so - lay it on thick, embarrass the senile pricks. They can't ban the lawyer
realtarragona
Hardly a surprise. We were never going to get it reduced after how he acted once he'd been sent off.
floyd
Hardly a surprise. We were never going to get it reduced after how he acted once he'd been sent off.but Adebayor gets one extra game for the Carling Cup sending off last year, against Chelsea, that caused a fairly long handbags ding dong. realtarragona
Suppose but after the bandwagon Mascherano's sending off caused and everyone coming out and say it's got to stop etc. Right or not, the FA weren't going to go back on the punishment as it would seem weak. True. I am therefore looking forward to a lengthy ban for Ferguson when the FA finally find the balls to meet him. Or are they giving him til April 17th to answer any charges in the hope we will have forgotten what he said?

CaptainXabi
They're going to give Ferguson and Queroz 3 each, but United will request a hearing, appeal any lost decision and ensure that the ban doesn't start until the season's over. Simple.
mooks
I really don't like a Lucas-Alonso pairing, even with Gerrard ahead of them. I would consider playing Lucas-Plessis-Gerrard. In any case, we're going to miss Masch. Blackburn are far from a pushover.
