When did we last score from a free kick or Corner ?....i will probibilly get a nice long list now but being thick i cant remember too many this season.

 

Would be intrested to see statistics on this.

 

Its so annoying when we get a free kick just outside the box and you know very well whats going to happen. Its hard to get excited when we get a free kick in a "promising" posistion

There used to be a fanzine in the 80's called 'Another wasted corner'. Always been crap at attacking set plays.

yeah its just sad isnt it.... Free kicks should be something to get to on the edge of your seat... i just go to the fridge to get a beer if im at home!

Gerrard against Arsenal and Aurelio against Bolton spring to mind. And Torres has scored two headers from set pieces.

 

We are very wasteful though. It's frustraing since we often fail to get the ball past the first man from corners.

Last couple of games has seen an improvement.

Gerrard's set pieces in general have been very good this season, imo.

Compared to most premiership teams, our setplays are very poor

with his height and good shot i'm disappointed gerrard isn't in the box, or just on the edge of the area on corners
