D.Boon Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 Was not happy last night was he Chelsea have some work to do in the next leg.
Hassony Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 According to the pundits they got the away goal so they should have it easy in the second leg! a 2-1 defeat is better than a 0-0 remember! Sevilla got 2 away goals and still went out to fenebahce, would be great to face a turkish team in the semi (if we can get through arsenal first of course) and it was funny how Grant was too scared to condemn Lampard after his reaction to the subtitution, maybe Coppel should give him a lesson on how to control his players
D.Boon Posted April 3, 2008 Author Posted April 3, 2008 and it was funny how Grant was too scared to condemn Lampard after his reaction to the subtitution, maybe Coppel should give him a lesson on how to control his players What did he say?
Hassony Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 What did he say? He just mumbled something about lampard playing well in the match and not being able to finish 90 minutes, didn't say anything about his reaction to being subbed
Guest Si Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 Tell you what, the Chelsea fans absolutely detest Avram Grant
Hassony Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 Tell you what, the Chelsea fans absolutely detest Avram Grant As does the players it seem In a way it will be a shame if he gets the sack, as even a half decent manager will improve them
Jim D Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 We've even had Bob Wilson saying that Liverpool would have preferred a 0-0 draw than a 1-1 draw.
John am Rhein Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 We've even had Bob Wilson saying that Liverpool would have preferred a 0-0 draw than a 1-1 draw. indeed. Did the ageing buffoon explain himself?
Rich Gobey Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 Great to see Chelsea lose yesterday. Would love to see the wheels come off their CL challenge, allowing them to be nice and fresh to pip utd to the premier league title.
Rich Gobey Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 Thus keeping Grant as well? two birds, one stone. sorted.
Duncan Disorderly Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 In a way it will be a shame if he gets the sack, as even a half decent manager will improve themAnd yet they are still 8 points above US?!
jimmylibel Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 We've even had Bob Wilson saying that Liverpool would have preferred a 0-0 draw than a 1-1 draw. Probably was listening to the crowd and thought we were the home team.
Herbie von Smalls Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 And yet they are still 8 points above US?!... following a mediocre start under mourinho and the ensuing turmoil of this departure. there are plenty of worse managers in the top flight. none with a squad of that calibre, admittedly.
The Hitman Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 As an interesting aside,me and my mate were playing footballer Top Trumps in the departure lounge at Budapest, whilst awaiting our 7 hour delayed flight home. There was one player that was never beaten for the whole time we played.Frank Lampard.Weight:88kg He must've won on weight about 25 times.Hilarious.

The Hitman Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 He was the heaviest player in the game, along with John Terry.Heavier than Rooney,Ronaldo (fat one),Drogba,Cech. Bloody hilarious it was,I reckon the editor of the game might've been a West Ham fan.

I take it Voronin wasn't in the game and I think there would be quite a lot of keepers who will be heavier than him
