I see Henchoz is the latest to question where our goals would come from without Torres and Gerrard, and he's questioning the rotation in the league.

 

Boring stuff, you'd think that pundits/players/journalists would check their facts and work out that taking the top two goalscorers away from any team would hit them hard, yet it continues.

 

Does this happen to other teams? Or are just an easy target given we're the most successful English side and have had a poor season?

Not everyone can have an agenda. I just get the impression that most pundits/journalists are lazy and like to toe the party line. Particularly the stupid ex-players such as Merson/Nicholas, laughable that they've got a medium to share their insightful knowledge

You're probably right, plus we probably suffer due to being bigger and more newsworthy than most other teams

Anither myth, even amongst our own fans, is that Alonso gets bullied out of games against crap teams.

 

If that was true he'd have barely played a good game for us.

His second touch is either a tackle or a challenge to win the ball from an opposition throw-in.
