His name is all Portuguese, I was hoping there was an italian one in the middle somewhere. Easier for the passport if you have an italian grandparent.

 

On TV, the inter game here, the commentators all called Lucas "Pezzini".

Well hes playing for Shalke so that shouldn't be a problem should it?

 

if he can get clearance to play in Germany he should be ok i think.

I know I know, i'd just prefer they took route one to an EU passport if they do, which means Italian ancestors. ;)

I think the issue there is really that in addition to those fleeing germany at the end of the war, there was also 100 years previous immigration to the south of Brasil and Argentina. They had somewhere to go which is why they chose there.
