Stevie H Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 i don't do these very often. what a poor second half performance having done alright first half. alonso was the best player on the park in the first 45, then as he tired in the second we just lost the plot. voronin, babel, crouch, momo and lucas were disappointing, back four was alright, warm-up charlie had a good game. . . .crouchy's moment of madness obviously finished it, but the sad truth is that too many of our squad players make too many poor choices and bad decisions when on the ball. take gerrard, torres, mascherano and agger from any side and you'll notice, but we need more from the other players in the squad in games like this. oh and the ref was an utter c***, total homer and frankly a disgrace. and lampard can f*** right off.

RafaShanks Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 the sad truth is that too many of our squad players make too many poor choices and bad decisions when on the ball. That's the difference between top class and average players, their decision making. We have too many that are the latter unfortunately.
Barnesy_10 Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 I was disappointed in Lucas as well...looked good for the first 40 mins, then he tired..... then he went a bit s***.. Sissoko was usual self... looked ok for a bit then turned into his usual frustrating self.. turning his back to goal.. poor touch, poor decision making etc etc... shame, as he looked so good when he first joined.Voronin is pointless... especially out of position.. Crouch will no doubt get a massive b******ing off Rafa... stupid decision.. He was pretty poor up till then as well... soft, cushioned headers toward Cech... Ben Haim must have been made up to see no Torres. Not been a good few days for Rafa... two rivals getting the better of us.. Lets hope he gets more than a point out of the players on Saturday..
Guest GrandpaSimpson Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 not happy to see both arbeloa and hobbs practically begging lampard for his shirt after the game And Voronin clapping hands with their subs on and subs off.
Coyler Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 (edited) And Voronin clapping hands with their subs on and subs off.Was that who it was? I seen a gloved hand come out and double-five Ballack when he came on. Sure him and Sheva are Ukrainian funboys, though. Edited December 19, 2007 by Coyler
Sion Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 (edited) I'm guessing here, voronin and ballack are mates from leverkusen days? Edited December 19, 2007 by Sion
Guest Snorky Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 Ballack and Voronin are ex Leverkusen teammates aren't they ?
Coyler Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 I'm guessing here, voronin and ballack are mates from leverkusen days? That kind of alumni cameraderie is all right for ex-Liverpool players in some league in the back of beyond but I don't want to see it when they're on our time.
Guest L dude A reno Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 not happy to see both arbeloa and hobbs practically begging lampard for his shirt after the game Seriously?!? Thats downright embarassing.
Guz Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 Realistically I think it was game over once Lampard got his typical fluked goal. Crouch just confirmed it. We did OK in the first half, not great but not bad either. Some decent football at times with one great chance for Lucas but other than that we weren't very threatening with the ball at our feet.
Stevie H Posted December 19, 2007 Author Posted December 19, 2007 i wish to f*** we were more aggressive as a team. we've got absolutely no attitude, no wind-up and no battle at all. teams know that they can boss us, it's really annoying.

Tetti Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 I wasn't that disappointed. Thought our RESERVES did well for 60 mins and blew it inside about 90 secs. Goal, subbing of Alonso and Crouch. All over. Itandje is a legend of the comic, but occasionally great, variety. Voronin was disappointing given the positions he got put in. Crouch Hobbs settled well and Lucas was left on his own to try and act with some composure in the middle. I still think he will be immense. Having the whole of the Shed was nice. THEIR support was f*cking s***. And I'm not bothered we are out. Fixture congestion in Jan / Feb would have been awaful. I hope they and Arsenal kick lumps out of each other right in the middle of the next CL round. And play draining extra time on a muddy Wembley bog. Then penalties, which they both miss until the 11th go around.

Frankly, after the excusions of the last 10 days, this game ranks 4th in the list for me.We still have bigger fish to fry and no team has the squad to cope with being active in 4 trophies
Tetti Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 apart from the 7 changes they made Two because of the return of Carvalho and Ballack. One of ours because of the return of Alonso.
Tetti Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 Voronin also hand clapped Mikel as he was going off. More than he did to us.
