A joy to see him back. Lovely, technical player - could see he was off match fitness and he wasn't sticking his foot in, but we're so much better with him in our team. And kudos to Rafa for starting with him rather than bringing him on.

(And this is a new thread because he's behind all the injury b******s and he deserves a entirely positive thread)

i was chuffed to see him start today, really chuffed. He's had a lot of stick, some deserved maybe? some really really harsh!! if he can keep himself fit and put in the performances, i'm sure he will get rewarded with a new contract.

Rafa has always come out and said how good technically he is, and how good a professional he is.

Good stuff HK :)

The injuries are clearly a problem. A pay as you play deal would be a good option.

When fit, he is a quality player. Gives us great balance and is another threat from midfield. Glad to see him back and hopefully he can have a bit of luck on the injury front from now on.

I think he'll get a 12 month deal with an option for another 12.

yer agreed, something like that would be great, be silly to give him a 4 year deal. Small steps is needed.

Wasn't it great seeing a proper winger in our side for a change.

A fully fit Harry for the rest of the season would be fanfeckintastic and would boost our title ambitions.

Absolutely - we've seen Babel, Riise, Aurelio, Pennant and Gerrard left midfield, and none have looked quite right. If Kewell stays fit, he'll give us balance, goals and assists...

that would be a very good idea as it'll keep Kewell motivated & on his toes.

was excellent to see him and he was very good when on the left - not sure why he got switched

was wondering the same. he looked better combining w/ Arbeloa on the left flank.

noticed Gerrard drifting to the left fairly often too & playing lots of crosses & through balls.

the team really put the onus on the opposition today which was good to see. solid attacking & defending as a unit.

Indeed, went for a slash and he'd switched flanks. Gave a good hour - great to see him back.

It crossed my mind that it was to keep him away from the thug that is Smith, who moved to their right.

Clearly blowing after 30mins, and a fair bit to go, but great to have him back.
