Apparently this new Spanish kid Pacheco was absolutely sensational for the U18s against West Brom last week. Anyone see him?

He came on as sub vs. Newcastle on thursday.

Saw the highlights on LFCTV, we drew 0-0 but it could have been any score for us, we battered them, Pacheco was walking through them, he looks fantasti, he's very small, but he's strong enough and very skillful. Nemeth (the hungarian lad) played up front with him and they each could have had a hat trick. This u18 team has more talent in it's forward line alone than any other team has had in the whole squad. They've 5 forwards (Pacheco, Pourie, Nemeth, Amoo, and Ecclestone) and although it's early days all/any of them could make it here.

The lad we signed from Real Madrid, the Argentinean left winger Bruna also played for the u18s last week, he started agaist Sunderland and came on as a sub against West Brom. They seem to be integratign the foreign lads into the youth set up slowly. The u18s have already played 7 or 8 games this season and the last couple of games are the first time the likes of Daniel Ayala, Bruna, Nemeth and Pacheco have featured. There are a couple of others (Simon and Hernandez) who still haven't featured.

Apparently we're bringing in another 5 players in January too. A couple of dutch players, a german, an English player (probably that John Cofie lad from Burnley) and a Finnish lad (probably Lauri Della Valle)

I've seen him and he does look very good indeed.

I also saw pepper in a line up I think, or did I imagine it? Isn't that a hot one from the bitters?

Pepper is the lad we nicked from Everton, and he is definitely playing as he won one of our monthly age group awards which were presented at half time in the Spurs game.

Pacecho looks like one hell of a talent - he's short but fairly strong and has that low centre of gravity which means he can beat players with ease.

Be interesting to see how Bruna gets on as he was so highly thought of at Madrid...

dont want to jump the gun but the footage ive seen of Pacecho really reminded me of a young Michael Owen.

Two of last years youth cup team have gone on loan this week. Lindfield to Notts County today and Threlfall went to Hull I think.

rooney made his debut at 15, and febregas at 16

think arsenal's current side. fabregas has been four years in the making, as have clichy and others. bodes well for the next four or five years this crop of players we have.
