I know today's result was disappointing to say the least but the performance was magnificent. Skysports just put up our next 5 fixtures and I believe that they are all winnable. I think we can make a big impact on this league over the next few weeks and the players must know it. There is something about this team we have at the moment. They look, composed, ruthless, focused and most of all P****d off. I feel a big siege mentality growing in the squad and that excites me. No more mister nice guy.

Yep there is more of a fighter's (winner's?) attitude in the team this season. They've done well in 3 tricky fixtures so far and have raised their game whenever the going got tough. When Chelsea equalised I half feared we'd crumble, but we took the game to them again and could have won it.

We certanly look stronger as a team/squad than we have for years. Though not sure I agree about the ruthless part, that's something we've still to work on in the league.

Portsmouth away is a bit tricky, but if we want to be genuine challengers we should collect maximum points from all five games.

Just think what it would do to the team's confidence.

I know we may not be ruthless in front of goal but just around the pitch in general. I know this is a small example but when Stevie had to kick the ball back to Chelsea at the end of the first half he booted it right into the corner.. We seem to have a men streak or something. It's hard to explain but there is definitely a shift in attitude. And considering we have four points already going into these 5 games I think it has been a decent start. It is small I know but we are 2 points clear of united with a game in hand. It may turn out to be insignifiicant, but I would prefer to be in our shoes than United's at the minute.

Sunderland is a skin of a banana of a tie.

They're f***ing s***e mate, they wont even have the confidence of being unbeaten now, if it was the first game of the season i'd agree but think they'd of lost a bit of the confidence now and it will be downhill from there.

It won't be the easiest away game we'll have, but they look a poor side. They were fortunate to get the win against Spurs and to get anything at Bongo City.

If we win that game in hand (which we should), we will be level on points with Chelsea and both of us will be 5 points ahead of United. Early doors, but we have to keep winning games to ensure that we can try and keep ahead of United.

We have the advantage and the next 5 games couldn't be too much easier to be fair and without getting ahead of ourselves, if we can get maximum/near maximum points, we should start to be in the driving seat come the start of October.

Its ours for the taking.

True enough. First real team they'll have at home and they're after getting a public bollicking from their manager. (Or do they have a match in the interim ?)
