R A Softlad Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 Lived up to your name today Rob. Hope you enjoyed your last big match.
Gomez Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 Phantom penalty, booking Essien twice (and then lying about it - you're on TV you f*ckstick!) not giving us corners, not booking Kuyt, Carra and Pennant for nothing tackles / complaining, yet not doing the same with Ashley Cole, Terri or Drogba until very late on.
Sion Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 Think he's bent, but more inept as he was clueless when giving decisions in our favour sometimes.
Sion Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 He's turned down the chance to talk to sky, quelle suprise.
Nebraska Red Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 clearly way past his "sell by" date and he needs to be sent down to the Championship or a lower level of footy. how on earth he gave that penalty is beyond me, but nothing surprises me anymore with referees in all sports. for some reason, they seem to want to be as much the center of attention as the players on the pitch.
RedNik Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 Emotions and hope aside, you really think the FA is gonna have a look at this? Had it been Man U instead of us, maybe... but i dont see anything coming of this.
Guest Sabre Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 If anyone saw the Newcastle Villa game yesterday, you would see the perfect example of refereeing. Howard Webb was completely in control of the game. Styles is just inept. Thought he was being clever most of the time but he was just plain stupid.
sutty Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 Emotions and hope aside, you really think the FA is gonna have a look at this? Had it been Man U instead of us, maybe... but i dont see anything coming of this. He'll get demoted I'd have thought Shambolic display If it had been against Man U it'd have been exactly the same
Nebraska Red Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 if he has any conscience, he should cringe when he watches the rerun of the game. he treated all the players like they were kids and not grown men. fans pay big bucks to watch the players, not the bloody referee. what have the blurts on Sky said about his "performance?"
RedNik Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 Worst bit is for fkin penno, he was standing RIGHT THERE. He had the best view on the pitch, and had to've seen Malouda leave the ground once he realized it was behind him.
Guest DanTheDaggerman Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 I thought this vote was going to be: * Cxxt* Txxt You're looking right at them, you blind git!
Zoob Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 I feel sorry for Rob Styles. He did what any semi-egotistic cretin would have done. Torres would have got all the headlines if it weren't for Styles's quick thinking in giving Chelsea a penalty that will ensure the headlines are as much about him as anyone else. Actually, I don't feel sorry for him. C**t Would love to see a compilation of the penalties we've not been given against Chelsea and then the one they got today. I feel absolutely sick. Was the pen their only shot on target?
Bootle Buck Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 (edited) He got in the way of about 3/4 good shooting efforts we had too. Utter s***e! As for the Essien booking...........................What a fecking jokeEssien even put his hand on his head thinking he was off. Edited August 19, 2007 by Bootle Buck
Guest Jude Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 For a sport that is awash with money we have people like Styles who are classed as top flight refs, god help football.
Earl Hafler Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 The pen was ridiculousBooking Essien twice was ineptAllowing freekicks to be taken when walls are only 6 yards away - whilst he's not even looking - is naive, amateurish officiating.
Kvarme Ate My Food Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 just a terribly, terribly poor performance
kenny7 Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 Check the b*****ds bank account the bent t***, the penalty was bad as was the double booking, the f***ing spineless c*** won't come out and expain his descisions.
Paisley Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 Even ignoring the penalty and the 'two yellow card' incidents (which is hard) there were two free-kicks in the second half where he made sure Liverpool's wall was ten yards back but didn't mind that Chelsea's wall was about 6 yards away from Riise's free kick. I think Rob Styles was happy with the result today - c**t.
Maldini Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 I can't remember a worse refereeing performance, obviously there were the big issues, but he got so many calls wrong on free kicks, corners and throw ins too. I'm so f***ing angry.
baz2107 Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 Absolute disgrace, managers get sacked for poor performance, players get dropped for poor performance- he should be demoted. Not a penalty in a million years, has cost us the chance of leading the big 4 with a game in hand, which would have been huge psycologically, something has to be done
Sion Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 I fully exepect a statement from Keith 'look at my warts' Hackett defending him. 'oh tough game' 'he's a good ref' 'Media hyped his poor performance up'
