Signed a one year contract with the option of a further year on year take up. he'll be able to spend more time coaching at the kids academy he and a few of the other former Czech players set up in Kbely, as well as keep an eye on his Mum.

Good luck Vladi.

Yeah I heard part of the deal was he'd become part of the coaching staff at Slavia once he stopped playing. Give him a few years learning the ropes before he comes back here as manager ;)

Always loved Vladi because he always loved the fans.

Always gave his best.

And thanks for Istanbul.

All the best Smicer, YNWA.

Yep, always seemed like one of the good guys and had the perfect send-off from the club.

Every time I think about the story of him walking around Anfield for the last time it puts a lump in my throat.

Me too. I was worried about the remote possibility that he was going to stay.

I guess I am in the minority when I say that I never really took to Vladi :(

Good memories of his send off tho and every time I watch it it shows the love he had for the club.

Still never rated him tho.

loved watching him play, even if he didn't always fulfil his potential.

West Ham at home when he played in his true position in behind a front two he was awesome, but never really played there again. And of course, for Istanbul, a bonafide LFC legend
