It's more a case of people have found out that slow floating balls to his chest wont work - high, fast balls from wide areas and we have a winner.

Agreed, balls whipped in with pace rather than lofted floaters. Urrrgghhh

he's actually attacking a ball being played in front of him now driving it into the net rather than just trying to get a touch on one played to his head. crouch's heading has definitely improved dramatically in the time the lads have been away on international duty but he's also getting the right kind of delivery.

the nose job has given him aero dynamic powers, he is SuperCrouch.

my brother works for British Aerospace and I told him they need to model their next jet on Crouchy.

I'm delighted with Crouchy's form at the moment. It looked like it wasn't going to be his night but then he popped up with a cracking header into the top corner.

The most important thing for the team is if Peter keeps on scoring on goals, as Kuyt and Bellamy don't deliver. Crouchy has to keep on getting selected.

Saying that, I reckon Bellamy and Fowler will get a run out at the weekend.

Lead implants in his sinus cavities. Hope it doesn't impair his head up for passes

I dont think the crossing has changed at all, Crouch is deffo attacking the ball with better timing

The key word is attacking. If he gets a cross in straight to his head he's too weak to make anything out of it. If he's getting crosses he can get some momentum and attack/run into, he's a fantastic header.

He must've had a "road to damascus" style revelation as regards his heading. He's certainly unstoppable at the moment.. almost like Heskey in his prime, (well there was this one match....).

His timing does seem to be much improved. I bet he's put in a lot of work on that.

Word is the scouse gangsters threatened him to improve.

They got to him on shrove Tuesday and showed him some pancake.

I think the team have finally figured out how to supply Crouchie

first of all I dont see many long aimless balls anymore

the crosses now have pace and the balls to feet are the sort and in the box striker would thrive on

What's that 18 goals this season? and people want a 20+ per year striker seems to me Crouchie could be that for us

he just doesnt have the pace to excite in the same way as Eto'o

Right now though I would have to say Crouchie is looking as good as Klose !!!

Which makes Aurelio's injury all the more galling. With him in there on the left we suddenly had a new attacking dimension because of the quality of the balls he puts in (there was a great one for Crouch's first against Galatasary earlier in the competition too).

A chance for Kewell to make up for lost time?
