Got to say, been well impressed with his few appearances.

To say that we never missed Finnan yesterday is a high enough compliment as it is.

very promising

noticed Carra was coaching him quite heavily yesterday - suppose he has to get use to our defensive system and offside strategy.

he looks defensively sound, although his passing (based on yesterday) could do with some working on

looks a very confident player 3 games so far 2 against Barcelona and 1 against Arsenal and hes looked very good every time.

Still only 24 looks excellent business right now.

He's just a big game player. Sell him!

He also came on against Newcastle at right wing I think and looked good.

He's 21 isn't he?

carragher was doign a bit more than coaching him when he ran infield and gave the ball away for Adebayor to run right into the gap where a full back should have been and cross for baptista to slice hopelessly wide. He looked like he was giving him a b******ing to me.

I've been impressed with his defending in the main and he can get forward and support the attack. Looks very promising.

he was 24 in January.

Bit of a late bloomer though, cos this is his first season in the top flight.

Just another routine page from the Carra coaching manual.............'Arby, I've told you before, just fecking t*** it!' :D

Carra has spoke highly of him in the press and thats one of the highest bits of praise you can get at the club!

He has been brilliant since he arrived, what a bargain and he is still young. He is a sound defender who offers so much more.

He looks class...just wish he was left footed. He'd be a great LB.

But great backup/change for Finnan. Looks a good ball player and some great short pasisng and moving with some of the lads yesterday.

Bargain.

I wouldn't be too surprised if he takes Finnan's place soon.

I'm reminded of Henry's goal at the anny road end in the cup. Take thy own advice Carra!

He would have if we weren't already losing with just a couple of minutes left. If he had kicked it out then Arsenal would have just ran the clock down, if the scores were level or we were winning I'm sure he would have just slid it out.
