I think Crouchy would frighten the shet out of Marques and Puyol. They looked very nerous on crosses all night. Although Crouch isn't the best of headers just the fact that he is their would have to worry them. Maybe we will see Rafa use all three strikers.

tricky one given they are also terrified of bellamy's pace.

although tempted, i think it has to be play it again sam. nice hardworking midfield. bellamy ready on the counter, kuyt helping out all over the pitch.

tempted to play gonzalez instead of riise just to increase our capacity to counter quickly, but suspect rafa will play safe with JAR.

actually i think rafa will want to keep 4 in midfield so we can double up on the flanks and have momo and xabi in the middle, so unless you play kuyt or bellamy on the flanks, which i cant really see the point of, i really cant see all 3 playing

Although thinking about it Crouch didn't do much against Puyol when England played Spain.

Is it any wonder though? The way SCS set up the team, Crouchy was so isolated he might as well have been playing in Outer fecin Mongolia

We've got a game against the Mancs to think about before that mind!

I'd play Crouch in both games, with Bellamy against the Mancs and rest Kuyt to run his b******s off against Barca

We need to surprise them with something.

A Rampaging Super-Spider

How has this SCS thing caught on, wasn't he about fourth choice? Scolari, O'Neill, my gran?

I think Crouch's appearance will depend on the referee again.

If we get another one of these 'no tackling allowed' refs, Crouch has no chance of playing.

I would rather he did not start as we may decide to start hitting high balls up to him, when a patient approach will be required.
