All games have been cancelled following the death of everything as we know it

"As businessmen, we move on. As fans, we hope that the new owners would share the same vision as we had for LFC and, of course, in realising the new stadium that is so badly needed to ensure the club can continue to compete at the highest level in the Premiership and Europe."

Quality quote though.

And is it too much to ask at least one of Blackburn and Watford to get a result ? ? Probably akin to asking Laurel and Hardy to deliver a piano.

Here's Newcastle's team:

Harper

Carr-Bramble-Taylor-Huntington

Milner-Butt-Parker-Duff

Martins-Dyer

A defence to make you weep  Watch 'em get a clean sheet now, heh.

Make that 2-0, Andy will be pleased.

And Bolton 1-0 up vs Charlton

2012: Michael Essien comes to the rescue for Chelsea with a brilliantly-timed last-ditch tackle on Stephen Warnock after the Blackburn new boy has glided past three Blues defenders to move deep into the home penalty area.

what was the game where he did that for us? He went on a mad run, coasting past about 3 or 4 players, before getting foiled at the end. I think it may have been an European game this season??

there are some goals going in tonight!

Charlton equalise, El Karkouri with the goal. (Jaaskelainen feck up)

has anyone worked out how many games the mancs have to win in order to secure the title? and how many games they have left against piss poor lacklustre sides?

I would, but I daren't look.

They have 8 home games out of their last 14 and none of them will be too difficult.

they have a lot of easy home games against the likes of Boro, Sheff Utd, Charlton, West Ham, Bolton as well - who always get battered by them. They have some trickier away games than Chelsea I think.

Spurs fec up their substitutes:

News emerges from the Emirates that Tottenham are down to four substitutes instead of the allowed five. It appears that Spurs thought they had notified the officials that they were not putting Aaron Lennon on the bench, as we thought, but had named Charlie Lee in his place.

Lee started warming up only to be stopped by the fourth official, who said he did not have him down on his list of substitutes for the match.

Another feck up -I can see Moores-n-Parry's hand in this! Hang 'em both, then sack 'em! Er....
