Stupid rule #12(b) section 5 paragraph 20a.1.2

Any player who is on trial, ie not registered with the club in question cannot be credited with any goals scored for his team or for his opponents in the case of an own goal.

If said player scores any number of goals, the club records must show that the goal has been scored by 'A. Trialist.'

So what would happen if there was a player called A. Trialist who then went on trial at a club and scored?

what a kerrrr-azy first name! not sure i've ever encountered the surname either.

my guess is they'd credit the goal to 'trialist'. unless there was another player in the match going by the same surname.

He would be called by his first name ;)

what if his first name is "goalscorer"

He'll have a very unusual first name.

So with enough trialists in the league, this guy A.Trialist could end up being top scorer?
