Apart from a loyal support base, how are Newcastle any better than BRFC? I think it's another daft move from the barcodes a la Rooney and Owen were they drive the price up to a ridiculous level and other more serious teams have to match it. It doesnt say we are going to pay £5m. It's talking about his value as a player and i'd guess in normal circumstances £5m would be about right but obviously he wont cost anywhere near that in January or he'll be free in the Summer.
