Fat Freddie will probably break the bank to land him, then go on TV and claim that the signing shows what a massive club Newcastle are because they beat Liverpool and Barcelona to his signature.

Then 20,000 Geordie muppets will show up at St. James Park to welcome him.

F***ing joke of a club.

Or Neil could just sign for us and say that he wanted to join a serious club. Then 20,000 geordies will not show up to greet him but sit at home on the their fat arses drinking brown ale and eating pies.

Apart from a loyal support base, how are Newcastle any better than BRFC? I think it's another daft move from the barcodes a la Rooney and Owen were they drive the price up to a ridiculous level and other more serious teams have to match it. Hopefully Neil will see right through that Muppet Shepherd.

If we pay 500k let alone £5m for a player who's contract is about to expire i'll march down to Anfield and kick the boards collective asses.

It doesnt say we are going to pay £5m. It's talking about his value as a player and i'd guess in normal circumstances £5m would be about right but obviously he wont cost anywhere near that in January or he'll be free in the Summer.

After Newcastle kindly stepped aside to allow us to sign Kuyt I think it's only fair we return the favour.

Neill will sign for Newcastle.

The prospect of playing alongside the legendary Titus Bramble will be just too tempting for him. Who can blame him?

What if that £500k is the difference between us winning the league and finishing 2nd?

For all the negativity towards Neill, based on current form, he would have started most of the games if he had been bought in the summer transfer window

Based on current form Traore would be getting a game.

I also think Neil is a pretty reasonable defender.

He struck me on Saturday (in a 3) as competent, able to cover acros the line, and not short of commitment.

I'd welcome him in January or next Summer.

Only reason he played well on the weekend was to show off cause he wants to move to anfield. That d****ead Hughes making him captain didnt help much, thick t***. He'll probably score an own goal next round.

f*** off Neill ya Aussie pr1ck.
