You're the one that put your neck on the line and said some stupid prediction that just about everybody else said was nonsense. Most people thought it was going to be a close game - difficult to make a call either way. They were wrong. It's just that you were much more wrong.

I'm guessing the "oh dear" coincided with a penalty miss. Nah. Then you'd get the issue of handball a yard from the line, or two yards, or five yards. Or was it going slightly wide? When do you draw the line between a penalty and a goal awarded? Rules are fine as they are.

I'm a Liverpool supporter - of couse I wouldn't. I am not however a Brazil supporter - why on earth should I be? I've no doubt in your scenario most people would fecking love it if Bolton beat Liverpool in such a way. And actually, come to mention it, likening the Netherlands to Bolton is bloody rubbish.

Well that's not strictly true is it. He said he told Kenny he wasn't a candidate, he didn't say the decision was his. Unless there are other quotes flying around. It's quite possible that the decision was Purslow's and Broughton simply conveyed the message. Still very wary about the whole thing tbh.

This business about it being a "willing seller willing buyer" auction? What does that mean exactly? Seems to imply that the price is somehow negotiated on the basis of what is deemed "fair".

Stop this. You cannot swap seven players for another seven players and expect the fees to match up like that. Take into account paying off contracts, signing on fees and agent fees, and we're certainly not talking about a zero budget. And I'd despair if we paid £22M on Milner...

Or indeed posts it on a forum. If it is to be Hodgson, then so be it. Keeping hold of our stars is now the priority. If we lose a couple, especially on the cheap, things could get ugly(well uglier).
