No doubt. Wouldn't surprise me if money changed hands elsewhere in the world, to assist the likes of PSG, City, Chelsea, to comply with FFP. That Luiz deal would cost PSG around £10-12.5M per year, and make Chelsea around £40M in one hit. The potential for laundering through ropey transfers, and other business transactions between vaguely linked companies, is pretty clear. To be honest, our deals with the likes of Boston based Dunkin Donuts would merit interest if I were involved in monitoring FFP. Side tracking to the other thread I guess, but owners will clearly do what they can to circumvent FFP, just as they are used to doing to circumvent taxation laws in their everyday businesses.
