  1. I think if there's any nation they were pandering to with that ridiculous domestic ban, it was Britain. Wouldn't be at all surprised if the FA or PL had intimated to FIFA, that they would fully support(if not expect) a domestic ban. The American's, like most other countries, seemed to report it as a somewhat bizarre incident, and then quickly moved on. It was only here that the guy got accused of being some kind of sub human animal.
  2. Think it's just the Premier League that has banned it.

  4. Aye, it was like Scolari had put a hit out on Rodriguez.
  5. Seen stuff saying 5 year deal worth £63M, could that not be the contract he's agreed, rather than the fee ?
  6. I hope the f***** breaks his leg . Wijnaldum, not Will :D/>
  7. I think we'd have had contact some time ago with his agent etc, so would know if he's up for the move or not. If we're still after him, I'd suspect that Barca over pricing him (given what we're asking for Suarez), or him asking for too much in wages, would be the main sticking points. If he's suggested he doesn't fancy the move, why pursue it any further?
  8. Seems like the valuation of Sanchez may be the sticking point.

  11. If he's 3rd choice behind those two, then he's effectively got the job, surely either would be nuts to take that. Still, chosen one to TCD has a certain ring to it.
  12. Wise words, transfer fee inflation is ridiculous.
  13. To be fair, a lot of them probably resign because they fancy/have been tapped up for a different job, probably on more money. I don't think they are necessarily doing the honourable thing, though that may be unfair in some cases, who knows. Certainly little incentive for Hodgson or Capello to resign, the highest paid of International managers, and with plenty of spare time on their hands, must be idyllic at their age.
  14. Aye, he's young and will have found himself on the left out of necessity at some point, and done well. Can't for a second see why he should be pigeonholed as left sided.
  15. Whatever works.
  16. Exactly, and it's better than allowing use of the free agent transfer system, much fairer. I'm convinced. I'm just glad I woke from my siesta at 4.50 :D/> Do we know if points are awared for 90 minutes, or 120 if there's ET ?
  17. Absolutely, few words in the right ears behind the scenes, but we could well get this reduced without the need for th enegative PR of an official appeal. Uruguay can lead this, and so they should as he was playing for them at the time, we can just offer a little advice.
  18. I don't see an issue, I'd treat the gap between stages just as the first draft, continue til all have made the necessary adjustments to a valid squad of 15? Then again, I want shut of f***ing Rakatic :D/>
  19. There's a theme developing here.
  20. Yes its true, I'm so happy to be stuck with you :)/>
  21. This is where I am too, biting is weird behaviour, but not in anyway worse than career threatening challenges and assaults that happen on a weekly basis. Infact, you can put me down for a bite from Suarez, rather than a stamped knee from Shearer, achilles snapper from Savage, kick in the head from Hartson, or an evening of poetry reading from Waddle.
  22. no appeal possible for ban of fewer than 3 games, or up to 2 months (oddly) according to BBC, so possibility.
  23. FIFA presser coming up at 230 UK time apparently.
  24. Less than 24 hours as it happens. They're lining up like Lemmings, with Hodgson at the back pushing them over the edge.
