  1. Think it should and might stay the same but with everything having an added: "New" before it New Anfield Then: New Kop New Centenary Stand New Anfield Road End New Main Stand Or I would like something along the lines of: New Kop New Paisley Stand New Shankly Stand New Dalglish Stand
  2. PRICK
  3. @ Nerik's overeaction. Maybe you should scutter back to the website that no-one visits anymore as you are more "respected" there.
  4. You clearly are.... a muppet of the highest order
  5. aaaaah, the memories!
  6. I did - unbelievable!!! They seemed to have based their opinions on the last 20mins instead of the whole game. Sure as Bill OH pointed out, we could have been 3-0 up at halftime. Giles wasn't as bad as Brady or Dunphy as they were unbelievable for showing their animosity against Liverpool.

  10. ?There can?t be many managers in the world better than him, and with the money of the new owners behind him it promises to be an exciting time. Me thinks Rafa will get the players he wants this summer

    Alves

Our new owners have been known to get the best player required for the team. Money wasn't an issue! They have mentioned that there will be money for the players required for success on the pitch and Rick Parry had re-iterated that recently. With that in mind, I can see Rafa selling a couple of players, but he will make 2/3 significant signing's in the summer. These signings will need serious money from our owners, and I can't see that being a problem. Most will admit that Rafa wants Alves and if he can get him (for whatever amount that is) he will be given the money to get him. Same will go with a top,top striker that we need. If we are to believe that Rafa wants a hard working striker who links up play and scores on a regular basis, then again he will be given the money to get that striker he wants. (the description will probably mean: Eto'o) If that takes 25million sterling, then that's what will be needed to be spend. I really can't see the americans refusing this. A prediction - Rafa to sign Alves and Eto'o in the summer for a total of approx £40million The time has come to stop messing around with creating a squad of players, we are missing a couple of vital ingredients to make the step up from a top 4 club to League Champions - this summer is the time to do it, and I actually think it will happen.
  12. What Liverpool?s 23 trophies represent is achievement; history is just stuff that has happened, good, bad or indifferent. Every football club has history, even Milton Keynes Dons, and certainly one such as Chelsea that dates back more than a century. Chelsea won a European trophy two years earlier than Liverpool and beat them to the League Cup by 16 years. Talk about clutching at straws!!! I mean, seriously did he re-read this before he sent it off to his editor. Did the editor not read it. Is this mumbling "article" not just a tirade of abuse or a rant that has been printed. The journalist should be ashamed of himself for that tripe.
  13. Exactly!!
  14. Met Aldo and Rush in Dublin one night. Could believe Rush was so small - sure he was always 6 foot in my panni annual - was he f**K! Thats it
  15. As much as we all want to be top of the earning league, we won't be for a while unless we considerably change our marketing focus. But with our new owners coming on board, we may gain significant ground in the next 2-3 years. I hope they appoint 3 new teams, European Marketing - Middle/Far East Marketing - North and South American Marketing. Although people want to criticise and question Parry's running of the club, overall he is doing a good job - but if there was one area I do think he has failed has been in the worldwide marketing of the club. It has been nothing short of a disgrace to be honest and fair about it. How there hasn't been the appointment of new Worldwide Marketing Director is baffling. Ive done a fair bit of travelling in the past 3-5 years and can't believe everytime I checked in a shop/outlet in America and around European Cities I have not seen Liverpool shirts hanging and the only "foreign" merchandise is usually United's, Arsenal's and most recently Chelsea's. I mean, Liverpool ARE the most successful club in England , one of the most well known clubs accross Europe and we have seen clubs like Chelsea and Arsenal capitalize more on the merchandising side than we have. It really is unbelievable. I mean Im not in sales or marketing - but are we not a marketing team's dream? 100's of years of history, well respected fans, hugely successful and rewind back to 2005 - Champions of Europe.....but travelling at the end of 2005 and what do I see hanging in a huge outlet in USA.....United/Arsenal/Chelsea shirts, merchandise etc etc, with no Liverpool merchandise to be seen. Ive high hopes our new owners will make a considerable impact in the 2 areas we are lacking....Marketing and Money for the team to win the Premiership.
  16. You want Maschareno to play against Barca, what in his first game for the club??????
  17. bazz

    Riise

Yes, we do. I would be really nervous in changing a formidable back four, but we really do need a "Wayne Bridge" type of left back, someone that can start attacks from the back and can beat a right back for pace and deliver dangerous crosses. Riise cannot do that and will eventually be replaced by Rafa.
  18. Was thinking the same when I read this this morning. How Rooney is doubtful for England, but will make a miraculous recovery for United's next games. These type of managerial decisions/trickery/intervention, wins titles as it keeps players free from injury.

    McManaman

    Amen to that!
  20. Will be great to get him in, but madness to blood him straight away when we have Momo/Zenden available. Let keep the team moving as is and not allow it to be de-railed at this stage. I would be worried we could be unsettled due to the arrival of one player - let him be involved sure (subs etc), but wait until the pre-season/season to blood him in the full team properly (if that's what Rafa wants, or he is indeed only cover)
  21. Two brilliant goals!! Great to see the good play for the Crouch goal.
  22. Its on
  23. My thoughts exactly! Bulls*** aside, hype aside, we HAVE to win tonight for there to be a glimmer of hope of catching the top 2 3 points and the momentum continues to build and then we can see if Rafa rotation policy will give us the edge, fitness wise, over the top 2 over next 3-4 months.
