    New Stadium

I think the new picture of the stadium is really fantastic On the naming rights.....anyone think that Coca Cola would be an ideal sponsor? Worldwide recognition instantly. (It would be a Liverpool's marketing departments dream combination.....wouldn't it?) Then with the all red colour (and the white writing) perfect for shirts and sponsorship logos around the pitch etc - Red and White The New Anfield, sponsored by Coca Cola? Anyone? Bueller? Anyone?
  3. One of the most under rated Liverpool players.....ever. A brilliant member of the team.
  4. Thanks very much for that!! Rafa is excellent isn't he! Well judging by what he said and more importantly what he didn't say was that Bellamy will more than likely go and he IS interested in Heinze (how quick he was to say he's playing in the Copa America)!! No smoke without fire there.........very interesting!
  5. Rafa looks young enough to play in that pic
  6. Torres: "You do know Im leaving don't you?"
  7. Fowler yes Collymore no (lost 1million on him) Bought for 8million and sold for 7
  8. Some of the highest, yes. But we have been behind United Arsenal and Chelsea and now Spurs have overtook us. As Liverpool and United are the 2 biggest supported teams, it should make sense that we are nearer to them than having some no mark team like Spurs getting a larger sponsorship deal I mean ffs, how many times is a Liverpool player in a paper with Carlsberg on his chest, or in the last 7 years, how many times have our players being photographed with trophies above their head......now compare that to Spurs Just not f**king good enough. Our marketing department has been and still is a mess. Whoever negotiates these contracts really need to been training in negotiations, because the deals they are agreeing to are piss poor.
  9. This is strange, I would have thought we would have scoured the world for different sponsorship with our new owners at the helm. Our deals with Carslberg always seem to be poorer in value terms than our rivals and if it is the same again, then I think we have missed out yet again in maxmising our marketing opportunities.
  10. abject failure? ffs! He is a striker and has scored goals for us. To call him an abject failure is unfair. Any other club would be delighted with his goal return alone. We just need a striker that can do more than score goals.
  11. this is the wrong way to go
  12. What that Car? Jag XK8? Some of our players wouldn't be seen dead in it as its far too cheap
  13. Finnan.....................................22 Just goes to show how underrated he is....but when he misses a game there is usual chaos in the defence. We only realise what we have when he isn't there......he's alot like Reina.
  14. But Dyer is an English international though .....and sure England are one of the best countries in the world and should win every tournament that they play in and its 30,40,41 years of hurt....isn;t it? So he's world class then? and the Ipswich fans are right?.....
  15. Not to run away with myself based on newspaper speculation, but I would dance around the office if we signed Eto'o. In my opinion, only Henry signing would please me more!! The way we play, we desperately need a striker like Eto'o. A player that can drop deep, collect a ball and then run at players and score goals. I would love to have him in the team! fingers, legs and willy crossed!

    No pics off me.

Agree with you as it would not be right to publish them before they are official unveiled..........but its amazing that you have changed your tact after you have been lucky enough to have seen them. Amazingly you were desperate for info/pictures from NYR - its now a bit rich you are now telling other to understand the situation. Its so easy to do so when you are in the know, eh?
  17. Madrid it is then! http://www.premiershiplatest.com/news/real...-je-553251.html
  18. Sat Aug 11 Aston Villa (away) Wed Aug 15 West Ham United (home) Sat Aug 18 Chelsea (home) Sat Aug 25 Sunderland (away) Sat Sep 1 Derby County (home) Sat Sep 15 Portsmouth (away) Sat Sep 22 Birmingham City (home) Sat Sep 29 Wigan Athletic (away) No excuses not to be challenging at the end of Sept There should be no slow start for us this year. 8 games of which we should win at least 6 and maybe draw 2 (at least the Chelsea game) Means 20 points by end of Sept
  19. Completely agree with you. But he did score the 20(19) goals in a season. I think that what the original poster was getting to - was we seem to want a striker that can do the lot and not just be a "goalscorer" of which most people comment on.
  20. Very clever with your stats there - maybe have a look at them in more detail eh? Especially considering we do play in 4 competitions......or do you just want your striker to score in the league? Club Season Premiership FA Cup League Cup Europe Others Total App Goals App Goals App Goals App Goals App Goals App Goals Liverpool FC 2005-06 33 9 6 2 0 0 14 8 1 0 54 19 2004-05 16 4 0 0 0 0 9 1 0 0 25 5 Or 19 goals in 54 appearances in 2005-06 season (and how many of those games was here a) subbed b) a sub or c) playing on the right wing He scored 19 goals in one season and we didn't rate him.........but we are screaming for a striker that will score us 20-25 goals in a season.
  21. So Liverpool didn't sign Brazilian midfielder Lucas Leiva from Gremio then. Articles like these should be reminders to people who take everything mentioned in a paper as gospel. Journalists really should get their facts straight, especially a Liverpool based one at that.
  22. Good question from the original poster. Everyone wants a striker who will score 20-25 goals a season, but Cisse did that and he is generally regarded as being dreadful. Im not saying Im a fan of his, but he did score 20goals and we shipped him off. Yes I understand that his touch was woeful, his positioning was dreadful, he couldn't understand basic instructions (i.e. the offside rule) and was a bit of a tart.....but he scored goals. Its a strange situation to be honest. We all seem to want a striker who is as hardworking as Kuyt, as quick as Bellamy and has the predatory instinct of Fowler in his heyday and scores 25 goals a season. Does he exist? Personally I want a striker (Eto'o IMO) that can pick up a ball, lay the ball off or turn and run and defences and score goals. Not too much to ask...eh?
  23. WOW - that is an impressive structure. That one goes beyond contemporary and is more futuristic. Impressive all the same though
  24. Are they releasing the pictures then? or is Eto'o signing ?
  25. Yes, Im aware of that Still messed up though, one of the best players in the world potentially moving for 25million in the same market that Hargreaves costs 20million, Michael Carrick costs 18million. It's not right I tells ya! , not right!
