  1. Now for United!
  2. Accessory to murder, he'd really contribute to our league win while sitting in jail wouldn't he?
  3. FFS - is this true? Seriously, there is definitely some sort of organised gang who are targetting the players homes.
  4. I want Madrid - bring them on!
  5. I only dipped in and out of this thread last night and again this morning, but has anyone mentioned our usual favourite subject: The punditry on RTE They were at it again last night and it was even worse than before. They were basically saying and agreeing that Liverpool are going no-where with Rafa and its because of their "love" for Liverpool as an institution that they are criticising Rafa and feel he is the wrong manager for the club. Souness, Giles and Dunphy all agreeing in unision. F**king Souness agreeing??......and he did such a f**king great job didn't he? I was f**king livid with them last night and they have definitely received complaints because the presenter mentioned it to them. Liverpool going nowhere, but Chelsea United and Arsenal are on the right track - sure they even mentioned Avram Grant is taking Chelsea in the right direction ffs!!!!
  6. That was the Gerrard of old, the one I love! I love when he bosses other midfielders and shows them how good he is.
  7. Agree with that Give Sami a rest and Hobbs some more experience Gerrard and Torres off for protection
  8. As much as I rate Torres and we can all see the class, anyone not think it very, very early to be comparing him and interviewing him with the King? I mean, he could go the way of carnage.... he won't though, but you get my point
  9. Surely Gary Neville will make a return before voting starts, and will be in instead of anyone
  10. So basically we need Rafa to turn into fecking delboy and balance the books....eh?
  11. My fav:
  12. Pepe Reina If you don't concede goals - you don't lose games He is our unsung matchwinner
  13. "We are much closer now to the top of the table than we have been in recent years and we have a much better squad. We are scoring a lot of goals and I think we can still improve and get even better. We still have the likes of Xabi Alonso, Daniel Agger, Jermaine Pennant, Fabio Aurelio and Steve Finnan to come back and they are all important players for us"
  14. Things are going very well - its been a long time since we have had better goal difference than Chelsea and Man United. Happy days so far! 16. I was livid watching that coverage last night - so livid that I had a row with the wife started by me cursing at the screen! They were dreadful on the panel, but I have said this before, but will say it again - Ray Houghton. He used to be one of my favourite players, but he has NOTHING positive to say about us....NOTHING. They are unbelievably negatitive on the commentary. The commentator in the space of a few minutes said: Benni trys to flick on the ball, but it is cut out "Oh dreadful, now is not the time for something like that" Porto player trys a flick but it is cut out "oh lovely skills/flick" or something like that A number of similar things that got right up my nose! Then onto the panel: Kewell set up the goal and basically added a new dimension to our play when he came on - but he wasn't good enough in Dunphy's eyes, and Dunphy then went on to make the mistake about Crouch costing 12-14 million???WTF? Dreadful, really dreadfull stuff!

  21. So we now have evidence all is not well No disputing it now.
  22. ?? He didnt have to lie, the club puts forward someone else, like they have done in the past Sure, look at the official site today, Alex Millar is commenting on the game, why wasn't he put forward. If he was we wouldn't have this mass hysteria: http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/drilldown/N...071123-0902.htm Liverpool first team coach Alex Miller is confident the Reds will pick up where they left off before the international break with victory at Newcastle tomorrow. Prior to the players flying across Europe for international action, Rafael Benitez's men netted ten goals in two games as they kept alive their Champions League hopes and stayed within six points of the pace at the top of the Premier League. Another lunchtime kick-off now awaits the Reds as they look to maintain their excellent away form at a ground where they suffered an unfortunate defeat last time out. "We shouldn't have lost that game up there last year," said Miller. "We played well on the day and had chances but in the end we made mistakes and paid the price. "This is another match and another challenge for us. We have to go there with the confidence that we can win, and I'm sure we will do because away from home we have been very good this season. "We knew at the start of the season that if we were to have any chance then we needed to be better away because we just weren't good enough last year. The opening day win at Aston Villa set us up nicely and we have gone on from there. "It will be tough at Newcastle because they have a passionate support who want to see their team doing well. They've had mixed results of late and it's up to us to go up there, be positive, and try to get ahead in the game and then see how they handle it." Liverpool are likely to welcome Fernando Torres back to their starting line-up after a two week spell at Melwood building up his fitness. The Reds will make a late check on Daniel Agger before deciding whether he's fit enough to return after a metatarsal injury.
  23. Is it really though? When Rafa doesn't seem to get his way, he tells the media. Is it really the way he should be acting, I don't think so As for HAVING? to do a press conference, he doesn't have to do anything - sure what if he was at home sick he wouldn't be abel to attend? Sure he just has to put someone else forward or postpone till the Friday. Panic if he refused to appear? Send someone else forward saying the Rafa is tied up/unwell etc. So the comments he has made while emotional/annoyed, hasn't caused panic then? I sense panic on here What would you have preferred? An organised non appearance versus a press conference that he didn't rule out the England job, was clearly pissed off and it prompted a bizarred official statement from his bosses He should keep his mouth shut
  24. But he's the manager of the club, if he doesn't want to give a press conference because he doesn't feel in a position to do it correctly and professionally, he should have the option of not giving it. Sure haven't Wenger, Ferguson and Maureen done it in the past - just said that wouldn't be holding a press conference. And if he has something to say, then I'm more than happy for him to say it. He knows what he is doing, let him get on with it. I disagree. If he has something to say about internal workings of the club, then he should keep them internal and not give headlines to hungry reporters looking for stories. Im disappointed in Rafa for this and its unprofessional. I was even listening to Graham Hunter on the radio this morning and he said that he is losing patience with the way Rafa is handling himself. I would have to agree with that.
  25. Agree with all that Its definitely a pain in the a*** to see our manager openly complaining during press interviews. If he was so emotionally pissed off, then he should have postponed the interviews till today so he could have cooled down.
