If a*** or Real buy Suarez, have they maybe bought a good player? Theres of course no guarantee that a player will replicate his previous form at the next club, can go both ways, but like us fans I bet the players get really excited by getting big/known players in. As of now we have only replaced what we have shipped out with what would look like for like.

Showing a little more ambition in the transfer market might ease his determination to leave tho.

I agree that we have a few exciting youngsters in our club that probably will establish themselves here and maybe at other PL clubs. However, the amount of games they got in total last season is as much down to the strength of our squad as it is to their talent. Think our avg. age went 4 years up from the first to the second part of the season when none of the young ones got much game time. Pretty sure most clubs rave and are a little excited about their youth players and hope they'll make a breakthrough.

And a lot of clubs seem like franchises with no ambition to win and only make money.

Would have him, but he plays on the same side as Sterling and Ibe dont he? Neither of Sterling or Ibe is ready, or strong enough for a right side of a club aiming to break into the top 4 IMO, but I would like to see them get as much game time as possible and not be restricted to 10 mins every second week.

I dont get why we should have to be reacting before anythings happend. Its 1 club in the world he has said he'd think about joining if they approached him. If Barca contacted us and wanted to negotiate, fine start negotiating with them. Start the process of finding/securing our replacements and drag the Barca deal out until we have the replacement secured. We get the price we want, the other club dosnt have a clue about the sum we sold for and thus wouldnt know how much to squeeze out of us.

Yeah I guess it works both ways, but had we sold first (it seems obvious to me that Reina is beeing replaced rather then him wanting) the risk of having a £100k? reserve keeper would be eliminated, thats a nice little sum & talent beeing wasted over the course of a season.

Wouldnt this kind of push Reinas price down. Buying club would know we have two 1st keepers, it would be expensive to keep both and we would probably want to sell Reina...
