Those individuals cost nothing compared to Carroll, downing, Henderson and Adam. This past window should have been a springboard to a legitimate title challenge. Instead it was a step backward. Don't get me wrong, Kenny deserves more time and the carling cup is a welcome return to winning ways but John Henry is going to take a less biased view of our lack of success in the transfer market. There is no disrespect intended here, just in my opinion a fair assessment of where things stand. I work in a dept where a large group reports to me and I in turn report to a head honcho. The thought that he would make a massive investment based on my recommendation and then I would be free of scrutiny based on my past record is naive to say the least. In the end let's not fool ourselves, they are in this to make money and the CL is where that's at.
