Haven't read through the whole thread but having lived in the middle east before, I fully expect that there will be significant number of visitors needing medical attention if the world cup is held in June. The dry heat is often deceptive and dehydrates much faster than you think. I have no doubt the facilities will be world class, but to hold it there in the heat of June/July is nothing short of insanity. Not even the locals like to be there that time of year. Our schools used to shut down for three months in the summer due to the heat.
