Alves has been the source of much transfer speculation with Primera Liga rivals Barcelona also linked to the 23-year-old Brazilian. However, Verdejo is adamant that neither club has approached Sevilla, while he also revealed they had reached an agreement with Alves about a new contact. And of Barcelona's supposed interest, Verdejo added on Radio Marca: 'There has been no contact with Barcelona, either now or in the summer.' Liverpool were also keen on taking Alves to England last summer, but Verdejo is adamant the attacking full-back, whose current contract runs out in 2011, is committed to remaining in Seville. 'In fact we will make his contract renewal public in the next few hours, since we have reached an agreement,' Verdejo said.

You're right there. What we are referring to here however are not individuals like taxi drivers et etc but the likes of those who are recruited en masse to live in camps and work as construction workers mostly. If you haven't then you were probably one of the privileged upper middle clasee paksitanis who like their indian counterparts chose to ignore the suffering of their fellow countrymen

like moths to a flame. The wealth was not built on exploitation of these workers which makes it even more bizarre...they have the money but they chose not to pay the workers decent wages. The workers keep coming because its better than starving to death....

The shiny towers of dubai are built on the backs of migrant workers who live in slave camp like conditions. Thats not something thats xenophobic, its a fact. What makes it especially terrible is the money that flows all over that place but not to the hands of those workers. Thats not based on ignorance. I spent 18 years in the middle east. Very poor performance from both sides. We looked horribly disorganized starting out but have improved since then. Our corners are indescribably pathetic.

I've been saying this since last year. Even when we were on our winning run. We don't have enough movement from the midfielders. Alonso being used in Hamanns role is an INCREDIBLE waste of talent. Especially when the rest of our midfielders are so immobile you would think their shoes were laden with concrete. How many times do we see the ball come into the box with so little support for the strikers. How many times have I seen Kuyt and Crouch get the ball 40 yards from goal, no support and they are supposed to do magic? Thats why Garcia is such a great outlet, his mobility and support for strikers is just what we need. Now if we could only get the rest of the midfielders to move ther lazy arses. Gonzales, Pennant, etc need to get into the final third of the field supported by the RB and LB to provide options for the attack. We are not going to win the league playing Alonso in his current role as well as Sissoko. Its just too damn negative. Alonso needs to push up, Sissoko can stay back as he is about as useful going forward as an umbrella while deep sea diving. The best passer in the permiership and we play him in front of our back four......
