getting back from the match.... Well, normal service resumed at the Pit last night, after last seasons abhorration What a s*** hole that place is, the worst ground in theleague bar Pompey, with the worst set of fans......As I have said in another thread, I was sat right next to the baying blues, and we were treated to the usual nonsense..."Murderers".."are you watching Michael Sheilds"..."You killed 39...in Brussells..You killed 39"..etc etc etc On the pitch, I was quite pleased with the teams (both teams), I couldnt believe they went with 1 up front when, lets face it, they had nothing to lose....they were expected to get battered.... We started brightly, and played well for 30 mins....Both goals were crackers..Crouchy is looking some player now, his finish was as cool as you like...and shut those boring c***s up singing "freak" at him...Which is very ironic....Then they got on top..I think a bit of weariness crept in, and with the physical nature of the game they gained momentum, it was a decent goal vby Beattie, who I thought played ok for them...Could have marked better but still......... What we then needed was an early goal second half t kill it off.....Thanks Djibbers...I thought this was his best game for us..he linked up well.....looked interested and worked hard.......Plays like this he has a future...Great finish, from my seat I knew as soon as he hit it it was in..... Thew rest of the game was a breeze really...we knew we had won and so did they...only one chance for Beattie but apart from that no real scares........ Overall we stood up to them and we deserved to win...As for the sendings off..I watched them again last night and I think both were justified....Neville took two whacks at players and Arteta committed about 123415113 fouls before he was booked so fook him..... There was little mither after apart from the Arkles getting bricked!!! a couple of funnies on the pitch....Martyn trying to pull Crouchys shorts down at a free kcik...and Poll having a lugh with our fans at the end when we kept the ball...saying he was going to add five minutes on, so we all started pointing to the score board and cheering... as an aside....Ally Rudd tells a good story about Samuel When she was breaking through as a match reporter, she was offered the chance to follow Chelsea in Israel..Remember when a few of the players wouldnt go because they thought it was unsafe....>Well anyway, whoever was covering Chelsea at the time woudlnt go wither...So the Sports editor called 6 or 7 of the match reporters and offered it out...Ally saw her opportunity and put her hat in the ring straight away, no-one else wanted it...Thenj Martin Samuel pipes up and says that a woman shouldnt be allowed to go as it is too dangerous and, regardless of the fact he didnt want it, he would go as a n act of chivalry...Ally told him to stick his sexist nonsense up his a*** and went anyway........... She says he is a sexist w***** who knows f*** all....and cant write a decent piece either
