Pretty sure you are spot on there. I believe Owen had 5-6 hamstring issues right in a row. I also think Gerrard saw the same specialist when he was having his issues as well.

I seem to remember Houllier sending him to Germany (i think ??) to visit a specialist who worked with athletes who had similiar muscle issues. If memory serves there was something about injecting cows/calves blood into the affected areas.

Being linked to a player by the press and Rafa and his staff actually being intersted in said players in this day and time is for the most part the difference between black and white. Saying that I can't say I'd be too disappointed in bringing in the likes of Keane and Barry. They are both extremely good players with the leadership qualities Rafa is looking for. I really think players like this can free Gerrard up from some of his "captain duties" and let him focus on the game and his partnership with Torres. You've got a "leader" at each position on the field.

Lets see what happens with the funds brought in via players leaving Liverpool. Between wages and transfer fees there may be more than the 30 being discussed. Geting rid some of the big earners...Kewell ahem....should certainly help.
