Agreed and constantly referring to Drogba as "one of the worlds greatest strikers" really annoyed me. What really killed me though was listening to JP Delacamera and Eric Wynalda going on about the keeper from Trinidad and Tobago being Kelvin Jack when it clearly was Shaka Hislop. They must have called him Jack about 10 different times when it was clear that Hislop had started in his place. Don't these donkey's have a monitor they watch?

I work for one of the cable companies on the east coast and seem to remember hearing something about the games being made available via a subscription service on Video On Demand. I'll see what I can find out from our marketing folks (usually useless) and also our PPV and On Demand vendors and report back. Would be gutted tbh since I have been able to see almost all of the Reds games the last few seasons between cable and satellite.

It amazes me still that there is nothing in place already. It's obvious that any player that is good enough will want to represent their country so why should the club's that they are contracted to assume all the risk. FIFA are as corrupt as the UN...........I really hope something is done about this and soon.

This is probably nothing......or is it??...............was watching the press interview with Gerrard and he made mention of how he had wishd that they could carry a 24 man squad so that Defoe could have stayed. Said he was sad to see him make way for Shrek's return and that he was a talented player. Just struck me that and felt it odd that he would make mention of it the way he did. Perhaps hoping they could play together to see if they could form a partnership before the upcoming season? I do like Defoe and think he could do a job up front for us, has a much better footballing brain than Cisse and obviously knows the English game plus he's got loads of pace.

Best post in this thread and the one that preceded it by far..........finally something worth reading. I think you are onto something and all this talk of signing big names means nothing if that big name hasn't got the best interests of the team firmly placed before his interests. I can see Rafa going after someone who will work as hard as Moro did but also chip in his fair share of goals. Someone like Crouch but with more pace. It's a shame that it appears that Cisse could not fit that bill as he has loads of pace but just doesn't seem to have the brain to consistently play the style of football Rafa demands. It would not shock me to see someone like Bellamy or Bent brought in, someone who is familiar with the English game but then again Rafa has proven that he can pluck players out of nowhere who fit his ideal of a team player (see Momo).

I'd love to have either player in Red but the value lies with Pennant if the fees being bandied about have any substabce to them. Both are good, young players who will add quailty to the squad.

Would be absolutely over the moon if they came over but would certainly go against what Rafa has stated recently about not taking any pre-season tours with the World Cup happening this Summer.
