I went to the game and that's exactly how it happened. After some arguments with our defence the ref went over to speak to the linesman and then gave the goal. It is worth noting that the only person involved in the match who had a worse game than the referee was that very linesman who then proceeded to get 50% of his throw-in/corner/goalkick decisions wrong. I have never been to a more genuinely poorly officiated match .

I went to see them play Millwall last week and it was painful. 4 down inside 30 minutes. The strange thing was that you could almost see what digger was trying to do with the team... the midfield could pass the ball around quite neatly. However, the defence was woeful and the attack lacked any punch. As a result the game resembled a kids' match - once Tranny lost the ball the bigger boys ran off down the pitch and wellied it into the net.
