Erm, everyone could see how gutted he was about that mistake. It was a judgement error, and Aguero made a cracking finish from that angle to make it look worse. Joe Hart made two worse mistakes than Pepe today, one went just wide of the post while Sturridge didnt have the perfect touch to allow him to shoot before Zabaleta cleared; which Aguero did with his perfect finish.

His contract was coming to an end with Toulose (who aren't big shakes themselves) and Newcastle is well thought of and liked in France, a bit like us under Rafa with Spain.

Thats it, really. Until and unless we start winning games in bunches, we wont be finishing top 4 anytime in the future. Winning five and six games in a row and being unbeaten for 10 or more is very hard to do but is a habit at the same time. We have to go on some sort of run this season, if we intend to challenge next year. Everything else will come.

Didn't take much at all for that little c*** Wilshere to go down on minimal contact, time and again. Did that about four times today and won free kicks every time. On the other hand, Sagna barged into Suarez and Johnson quite a few times and got away with it.

Think Rodgers was scared to bring in players into a high pressure and energy situation, where they might not be ready for it. But thats just a guess, plain and simple.

A massive difference in set pieces from earlier years is not having a forward or two who is good in the air, do a job at the back. We had Torres, Crouch and Kuyt along with Big Andy help us defend against set pieces over the last few years. With all of them gone, we need to find a way to plug that hole or else risk losing goals from these. I did not like the tactics today. We're better than the tactics we employed to simply sit back in our box and defend for 90 minutes which is what we did. Suarez was wasted inside our own half and Sturridge was left chasing long balls, both of whom did a good job of. Johnson isn't great at defending and you wouldnt want him do that for 90 minutes. Less so having Suarez help him out. Same goes for Wisdom with Downing. I hope we dont play the same way against City, next.
