i cant see us topping what we`ve spent in total on torres,babel and masch.. Id be highly suprised if we spent anymore than 30million to be honest..

he`d be perfect for us, and could quite easily switch positions with gerrard and or replace torres if needed....could also switch to a 4-4-2...with both torres and villa together up front...possabilities a-plenty

personally feel kuyt has been the unsung hero in this recent unbeaten and winning run of ours....his play has been vital to the sides success....his workrate IS amazing...plus he has a top quality cross on him.. Hes found his position...might not be first choice there next season,but for those that say he offers nothing obviously havent watched the past 6 games...

whatever we see, i dont wanna see stevie g at central mid, only at right mid, or just behind the striker. surely...SURELY now everyone has seen that central midfield really isnt his position....hes far better with freedom. Underated beyond belief this guy..maybe not by us..but definetly by the press was outstanding tonight, in the first half inter had 2 chances where Reina made 2 vital saves....the 2nd..with a stunning reaction save from only a couple of yards out..who knows what would`ve happened if that had gone in.. Easily our best keeper since Clemence....and at this rate, he might overtake him.. Hes certain to win the golden glove or whatever its called again!..for the 3rd season running hes overtaken Cech(who doesnt seem the same since his head injury) for me as the best keeper in england.....and surely is up there if not better than Casillas. love the guy....

huh? not saying that.... im saying hes a fantastic player and could be the perfect player...right now hes close.. Hes only 23?24 so is still learning.....hes amazing right now..as long as he stays injury free, he`ll be phenomenal in 2-3 years and possibly....yes possibly on a par with The real ronaldo at his peak, i really believe he can be that good

agree with all apart from the weakness part..which i`ll get to later. But yeah hes very similar to Ian rush....and that finish tonight was totally a "rush moment" also he tracks back and works his b****x off!! now weaknesses, his first touch is poor at times when outside the box and has to use his pace to recover the situation....in the box though, his first touch is exceptional....wouldnt change him for any striker in the world.. odds on him getting over 30 goals this season??? where is he now..25? id be highly suprised if he didnt get 30

Thought it was interesting sat when rafa bought on hyypia and played him as part of a back 3 with Skrtel and carra.. Could this be something that Rafa is considering against inter??......we know how brilliant he is tactically and how in europe he tends to pick formations dependent on the opposition..especially away. Or with the game no doubt being watched by inter...could he be bluffing and maybe sending a possibility to inter, now with them not knowing what to expect......

Reina 6 Riise 4 - he was so poor today it was laughable!!! most of it bought on by himself.... Skrtel 7 Carta 7 Arbeloa 9 - thought he was excellent, unsung hero in the past 2 games.. Alonso 7 Leiva 7 Benny 6 Pennant 6 Gerrard 9, - do we need to splash the cash on a 2nd striker??? gerrard and torres...the new dalglish and rush Torres 8 - was involved in 2 goals and scored 1......what a player

im looking towards the future and can see carra slowly being pushed into being more of a squad man...hes been poor this season and with the way footy is now..we need better distribution from the back.. finnan - also has a strange season....still feel hes excellent going forward but is starting to struggle a bit for pace at the back arbeloa - i like him..just not sure where his best position is?!?! babel - shows flashes of brilliance...but maybe like arbeloa...where should he play?? hes certainly not good enough yet to comand a first team spot week in week out....his crossing is dreadful...so he either plays in the hole or becomes more of a squad player next season and learns...cos we definetly need someone with top drawer crossing ability out wide benayoun - good squad player...though not a first choice. in short.....the above are not world class..in some respects a couple might be..but are not there at the mo. The players i picked are the ones who are true world class right now and really it shows on the pitch.

we need to keep the same formation.... -------------reina------------- arbeloa--carra-skirt-----riise ------------------------------- kuyt----alonso--lucas-babel ---------gerrard-------------- ------------torres------------- its newcastle at anfield...i have no worries with lucas and alonso in the middle...and if needs be, we can push gerrard bk and swap him with lucas who has played that role behind the striker a few times for his former club and did petty good scoring a few goals while in that position
