ok so i know this a dangerous thread and i`ll likely get destroyed.. Still i cant help but feel that week in, week out Jamie Carragher is not a good enough center back for us to be challenging for the title, he shows fantastic passion...but is being weak in the air, no pace and horrible distribution enough for a side looking to win the premiership? Hes been brilliant for us these past few years, yet i feel we have to make that step up.....last season he was poor, this season the same...both agger last and hyypia this season seemed to have carried him (regardless of carra barking at everyone else) please dont take this wrong a i love carra and he represents everything we love about liverpool F.C...but fact of the matter is that he isnt quite at the level we HAVE to be. Now Gerrard - wonderful player...but are we suffering a bit from the "Henry-syndrome" as Arsenal did last season..... Im not saying to sell the guy...just your opinion regarding is he far too influentual on the pitch, that like the fans...our players expect that he`ll be the one to take the reins...and so dont feel the pressure, a great captain not only steps up when needed but influences those around him....no doubt about the first part, just not sure about the 2nd..
