probably. ferguson was getting leathered at the time by all and sundry iirc.

yeah it's a fair point. the revolving door thing worked for the most part in terms of selling on players for a profit and buying better players though. in fact the whole thing was working very well indeed until the keane alonso barry summer, and every window since then has been steadily worse. i really think the plan was to start doing what you suggest. the johnson buy supports that.

He can dive as much as he likes. Gerrard is the only player at the club smart enough to know when to dive and when to stay on his feet.
