  2. I disagree.
  3. what does this mean?
  4. Barnes, Nicol, Mcallister are all great shouts.
  5. Heskey, at the right price, makes all kinds of sense.
  6. A manc win is the most likely result. Probably best not to think of it as a disaster, if and when it happens.
  7. It depends on whether you believe wingers/strikers can be a liability... I do, and he is one.
  8. Last season i'd have agreed with you. This season you're way off. As Stevie says, El Zhar is the better option, came on to help us beat Boro and Wigan just for starters.
  9. Not sure if it is harsh to be honest, this season he simply hasn't looked anything like a footballer, gone backwards worryingly fast and is now a liability to the team. This season was supposed to be the year he kicked on. Last season he was good, but not good enough to start many games. This season started with the Olympics, which even Mascherano has struggled to recover from. This was anticipated and explains his minor role until December... Since then, as anticipated he has come back into the main pool of players, supposedly ready to play a major role in the second half of the season. From what we've seen, i don't think it's too soon to be very concerned, such has been the paucity. Arsenal? His every touch was appalling and he never looked interested in showing for the ball. This was a tricky game and a tricky time to come on, but does that excuse him? Newcastle? Looked way off the pace against the poorest side in the world. Preston? Looked absolutely brainless from start to finish against a team only slightly better than Newcastle. His Boris Johnson style barge on the centre back that Knox referred to was one of the poorest bits of decision making you're ever likely to see. It's the brainlessness that worries me. He's never looked smart, but at the minute he seems totally perplexed by the ball. When he came there was much jollity about his 'being trained to shoot' at Melwood. We're at the stage at the minute where he's going to have to go even further back in the basics of the game. It's a shame, he could have been a useful option, but at this stage his time is nearly up. These games are now getting too big to carry him.
  10. picky picky picky. The last thing we need is relegation, while Everton win the treble.
  11. The week off is in Chelsea's favour, but other than that they aren't playing with too much confidence and if United get a good start they'll struggle to recover. A draw in this match and a win for us would be great. I'm tempted to think a win for Chelsea suits us even better though. A two horse race between us and United is the last thing we need.
  12. Cheers for putting this up. Strange that it says he's 28... do the Spanish know something we don't?
  13. Depending on who we sell i'd agree with that Steve H. If we sell Doss or Pennant to Milan i'd be making a small enquiry about Jankulowski though. I'd have him here in a flash.
  14. Chelsea are a bit of a mess. We could really do with them getting something but i can't imagine it.
  15. God knows why he wasn't in the Champions League squad.
  16. why?

  18. nice one. i also thought this was just a rumour.
  19. Toure is one of the best signings i can remember. He's a fabulous player who is currently being treated badly. He cost them £150,000 you know. ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY GRAND! how anyone can criticise this is beyond me.
  20. let's get him, babel and djib together for a stupid-off.
  21. Gerrard Alonso Riera
  22. I'd rather have Gerrard than Kaka.
