I've read in a couple of places that there's no chance of a ban, just a fine, as the ref put in his report that if he'd seen the incident he would have booked Neville. If a ban was a possibility he would have been dealt with through the fast-track system.
Here in Warrington is truly the front line of Liverpool - Manc hatred. There's nowhere else quite like it. Keeps you on your toes and hones the arguments like nothing else. I can't wait to get in work on Monday.
Anyone see that banner in block 203 on the Kop at half time? "Gary Neville, you inbred c*nt. Five times" The bizzies at the front of the Kop went mental, talking into their radios, trying to get someone up there to confiscate it.
They put an ice pack on his knee as soon as he came off but he didn't go straight down the tunnel so hopefully it isn't too bad. He was grimacing a little as he came off.
Is it just me who thinks Faye's tackle wasn't anywhere near as bad as is being made out? He wasn't heading into Reyes at all and got both feet on the ball. The only reason Reyes got injured is because he kicked Faye's studs. Flamini's tackle was nowhere near the ball and it was only because Gardner managed to vault the challenge that he avoided a dangerous impact. I thought it was much more dangerous and with more intent than Faye's challenge and he didn't even get a yellow. One-eyed Wenger yet again made himself look an idiot.
